Actually Jesus couldn't have been a "liar" since "liar" comes from קײַקל (Kaykl) for "circle" and it didn't come to use until jews came to America through Ellis Island. The reason "Kaykl" became a name for "jew" is specifically because they refused to mark forms with an "X" because they believed it resembled the Cross. They, uniquely, used a circle instead. Therefore, Jesus wouldn't have possibly had such an aversion to the "cross" shape (well, not yet anyway ) and that slur would not apply to him.
Moreover, the fact that liar comes specifically from a group of people who hated Jesus so much they refused to use anything even remotely resembling what became the symbol of Christ's preachings kind of makes it difficult to compare Jesus to post-Christ (Rabbinic) Judaism (which came about ~40 years after Christianity)
